Hobart J. Simpson

Hobart J. Simpson, Esq. (Hobie) joined Tarshis, Catania, Liberth, Mahon and Milligram, PLLC ("TCLMM") as an associate in 2000, following his graduation from Albany Law School of Union University. As an associate with TCLMM, Hobie developed a diverse litigation practice spanning the practice areas of commercial litigation, construction disputes, personal injury, medical and professional malpractice and municipal liability. Hobie also developed a niche in the area of construction law where he has successfully represented owners, contractors and design professionals in all facets of construction practice including contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution and litigation. Hobie was made a partner of TCLMM in January 2009.

Hobie's practice concentrates on representing clients facing a wide-range of disputed commercial matters, including real estate and land development contracts, employment contracts, covenants not to compete or solicit and breach of contract. Hobie regularly represents corporations, LLCs and individuals in commercial disputes. Hobie also defends hospitals, physicians, nurses and medical groups against claims of medical malpractice. In addition, Hobie regularly represents municipalities and school districts in matters involving general liability and personal injury claims. Hobie's broad litigation experience makes him well-suited to handle any matter that may require dispute resolution or litigation.

Hobie is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Hobie is admitted to practice before the New York State Courts and various Federal Courts in New York. Hobie has served on multiple boards of directors for local not-for-profit organizations and currently sits on two boards of directors. Hobie currently lives with his wife and three children in Highland, New York.
