Steven L. Tarshis, Esq. (Steven) is a Founding Firm Partner focusing on commercial transactions, business law, estate planning, tax law, real estate and corporate law. Steven is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law and also holds a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Steven has three (3) years tax accounting experience in a public accounting firm and over thirty-nine (39) years of experience practicing law.

Prior to entering the legal field, Steven was employed as an accountant and tax attorney with an international accounting firm where he was a member of the tax department. In that department, he was involved in tax issues regarding individuals, mid-size and large-size companies as well as not-for-profit organizations. Steven was with a boutique law firm in New York City where he practiced in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions, tax law and trusts and estates as well as the areas of pension and profit-sharing plans.

Steven has concentrated his practice in the areas of corporate law, commercial transaction, real estate, trusts and estates, estate and succession planning and tax law. A number of his clients are in the health services delivery industry, including physician practice groups in the Hudson Valley in the fields of radiology, pediatrics, dermatology and multi-specialty practices. Steven's skills include negotiation and drafting of complex commercial and financing documents, mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring, tax planning and tax advice, estates and trusts and succession planning. Steven has been selected as a Super Lawyer an honor afforded to just five (5%) percent of attorneys nationwide.

Steven and his wife Marlene reside in Orange County, New York. They have two children and five grandchildren.
